How to Repair a Hole in Your Gutter

Step 1: Head in the Gutter
A hole in your gutter can cause damage to your property. Luckily, it’s easy to fix it yourself. First, clean the dirt away from the hole with a wire brush or sandpaper, then wipe it with acetone and let it dry.

Step 2: Patch It
Use a putty knife to cover the hole with patching compound, and place a piece of roof repair fabric over it. Apply another layer of patching compound.

Step 3: Foiled Again
Or you can use roofing cement and heavy duty aluminum foil.
