I like the second one of course. Our son's friends ride over here sometimes when we're not home yet. This would be a nice place for them to sit and rest b4 they go back or to call him and see when he'll be home.
The front yard is commonly overlooked. It's much more friendly and neighborly to have a front porch as opposed to a deck in the back. I can't wait for ours to get started/finished.
really liked the looks of the placement of the furniture at the dorr. Looks very inviting
June 11 2011 at 11:30 PM Permalink rate up rate downI think I'll try that on my porch this summer. Usually I just put out a plant and call it good.
Even if I never get to sit there for more than a minute to sort the mail, .to the passers-by .it looks like
people come around and relax together from the vantage point of the porch to look at the garden with it's butterflies and colors.
It is a friendly way to decorate. I never thought of it before but it is nice to decorate with chairs that
represent friendship and community. Way to go..thanks

Wish my porch was large enough to decorate. But I do have a pretty rusty red door with brass knocker and house numbers on it.

The Great Lakes Metro-Complex know better. Google Earth
Detroit and you'll see a trend is to use concrete or glass block.
People are blocking basement and first floor illegal entry areas.
Some people remove all exterior decking. Exterior furniture of
these areas is through-bolted iron or steel security bars, metal
sills, steel doors and very narrow exterior vision slits. Please
consider raised garden beds 4x4 feet wide around your home
to sleep below random bullets. New single floor construction
should employ reinforced concrete atop poured slab. Use two
natural lighting options. Choose narrow slit size of glass block
stacked atop each other and/or roofing skylights. Floor Two
needs shatter resistant glass or Lexan. You'll want standard
window size for fire department or emergency emergency.
I'm sorry, this is way too much work. It's more work putting the tape around, moving it than it is to just take a couple of kitchen chairs, set them out, if you like them, get outdoor chairs and you are all set.
I used to put chairs on each side of my front door but someone stole a cushion off one of my chairs. Because of their style it will be $200.00 each to replace them! Instead, I gave the other cushion away, bought inexpensive ones and put them on the back deck. The front? well, it's a front step with a matt.
Can't even live in a nice neighborhood!
is this guy for real... painters tape .... yikes too much work ... put some plants up chairs down and go in a cook supper plus in my neighborhood they would be missing the next day hahahahha!!!! he is cute tho!!! if not missing some street people would be hanging out drinking and sitting arround waiting for me to fix them supper NO WAY!!!

June 12 2011 at 1:37 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyYeah, I don't get the tape thing. The furniture is small and easy to move around. I like what someone said about using cardboard instead of tape, that makes sense if you have large furniture that's not easy to move around.
