If you're interested in purchasing recessed lighting, it's important to know what varieties are on the market. Kelly Edwards shares her trade secrets for choosing the right option for you.

Step 1: Attic Access
The type of light you will buy will depend on your abilty to access your attic.

Step 2: With Access
If you have ready access you'll install the light in the attic dropping the fixture down securing the brackets in the attic.

Step 3: Without Access
If you don't have attic access you'll need a "retro fit" light or one that will allow you to pop the fixture into a pre-made hole.
