Smoothie Techniques

Featured pro:
Category: CookingHealthy FoodsCelebrate SummerA Better Breakfast

Curtis shows you that making a great smoothie is as simple as choosing the right fresh fruits and mixing a combination of sweet, tart, solid and liquid ingredients.

Step 1: Fruits
You can really use any soft fruit from bananas to oranges, cantaloupe to honey dew or try using frozen berries.

Step 2: Blender
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until fully combined. Add some ice and yogurt for volume and a fruit juice. Throw in a bit of maple syrup or honey to counteract the acidy of the yogurt and blend.

Step 3: Shave
Try shaving a bit of spice like cinnamon or nutmeg into the smoothie, blend and serve.

Items You'll Need for this GMC Trade Secret

  • 2 cups Fruit
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon or Nutmeg
