Step 1: Skewers
Bamboo and wooden skewers are not great for grilling --- they burn, use them for sweet and savoring kebabs that you won't cook. Long flat metal ones are best for meat, the metal won't burn and the flat skewer will hold the meat in place when you turn the skewer. Try making natural skewers from rosemary stalks or sugarcane.

Step 2: Shrimp Kebab
Using a sugarcane skewer, spear right through the tail of the shrimp, coat with a teriyaki style marinade and grill.

Step 3: Beef Kebab
Skewer your tips onto a flat metal skewer, marinate with olive oil, oregano, red onion, salt + pepper and lemon, let sit for an hour then grill.

Step 4: Pork Kebab
Cut your pork into strips and then using a rosemary skewer weave the meat back and forth onto the skewer. Marinade with a satay sauce and grill.

  • Sugarcane
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt + Pepper
  • 1 Lemon
  • Teriyaki Sauce
